The chip leaders of multi day poker events are always people worth watching, event though such an enviable position does not always merit a win. In the case of the World Series of Poker Circuit event taking place at the Horseshoe Casino Council Bluffs, the man of the hour was Jeff Banghard of Bennington, Nebraska. - STUCK - Down a nontrivial amount of money, as in "he's stuck $800".
- CHASE - To continue in a hand, often at poor odds, in the hopes of catching a much better hand. "He called, chasing the flush.".
- BUTTON CHARGE - A periodic fee paid by whoever is the button, perhaps every 20 minutes or 30 minutes. Constitutes part or all of the HOUSE CUT.
- FIRE - To make the first bet in a betting round. Used to emphasize that the player bet when a check was possible, showing strength.
- GOOD GAME - A game with players worse than you so that you can expect to win a lot of money.
- OVERPAIR - In Hold'em, a pair in the hole that is larger than any community card on the board.
