Poker run to benefit Immokalee Friendship House
On Sunday, the Queen of Hearts Poker Run will be held. It’s a charity motorcycle ride to benefit the Immokalee Friendship House, a homeless shelter.

Poker glossary:
- DEAD MONEY - Money contributed to the pot by players who have folded.
- RAIL - A barrier dividing the card playing area from a public area.
- RUSH - A winning streak. Also "ON A RUSH".
- BLANK - Used in describing stud and Hold'em games. Refers to a dealt card that does not offer any value; stating the actual rank and suit would detract from a description of the hand. "The last card was a blank.".
- GUT SHOT - A draw to an inside straight, as in 2-3-4-6.
- QUARTER - [1] Twenty-five dollars, often symbolized by a green casino chip. [2] To divide half a pot between two tying hands. In split pot games, a player who "ties" another player for their half of the pot is said to be "quartered". One might say "I didn't bet my A-2 because I figured I'd get quartered".
