Daniel Negreanu may be Kid Poker to his fans, but he was second fiddle last night in a close match between the veteran poker pro and online pro cash player Bryan Sumner. Sumner, who is from Smyrna, Tennessee, headed up to Tunica for the side game action during this World Poker Tour event, and entered it on a whim. - FAMILY POT - A pot where all of the players at the table are participating, even after each has had an opportunity to act.
- EXPECTATION - The long-run [dis-]advantage of a given situation, specifically without reference to any particular outcome. I.e., what you figure to win [lose] on average after a large number of repetitions of the same situation.
- LITTLE SLICK - In Hold'em, hole cards of A-2, suited or not.
- HOLE CARDS - In Stud and Hold'em, the face-down cards dealt to each player.
- FIFTH STREET - In stud poker, the fifth card to be dealt to each player. Sometimes used to refer to the last card dealt in Hold'em, although the more common term for this is RIVER (q.v.).
- PAY OFF - Calling a bet with little expectation of winning, unless the opponent is bluffing.
