Rich Sudy played his best hand at MotorCity Casino Tuesday, even though his fingers only pushed a few buttons. The 44-year-old poker player from Novi was trying out the newest attraction at the casino — electronic poker tables.

Poker slang:
- STAKE - The amount of a player's BUY-IN, or the amount of money they are willing to play with in a given session. Compare: BANKROLL.
- FREEZE-OUT - A table-stakes game that continues until a small number of players (possibly only one) has all the money. The major event in The World Series of Poker is a freeze-out game.
- BEE No. 92 (TM) - Trade name for the "diamond back" cards frequently used in casino games. Compare: RIDER BACK.
- FIFTH STREET - In stud poker, the fifth card to be dealt to each player. Sometimes used to refer to the last card dealt in Hold'em, although the more common term for this is RIVER (q.v.).
- READ - To determine whether an opponent has a good, medium or bad hand by observing his personal behavior. An inexact science.
- POSITION - One's location in the betting sequence, relative to the players still in the hand. First position is first to act.
