Welsh Amateur Poker Championship
Details have been released for the third live event in the Amateur Poker Association & Tour (APAT) line up - the Welsh Amateur Poker Championship. The event will be held at Grosvenor Casino in Cardiff in mid February, and players will start with ten thousand in chips and standard APAT rules. As many as 180 players will take place in the event that will run February 24th & 25th, and entry to the Welsh event will only be available to card carrying members of the Amateur Poker Association & Tour - although ten seats will be up for grabs online via PokerStars.com

Poker dictionary:
- FISH - A player who loses money. An old saying is "If you can't spot the fish at the table, *you* are the fish.".
- NO-LIMIT POKER - A game where there is no maximum bet; a player can wager any amount (perhaps above some minimum) up to whatever money is on the table in front of him.
- PASSED OUT. - A hand in which nobody opens. What happens next is a function of the game being played.
- MARKED CARDS - Cards that have been (illegally) altered so that their value can be read from the back.
- POT - The total amount of money bet so far in a hand.
- SUITED - Two or more cards all the same suit. Ant: OFF-SUIT.
