Heads Up Poker Coming in February
At L.A.’s newly renovated Crystal Casino & Hotel heads up poker will be the name of the game as players compete in a series of heads up poker games for the title of “World Heads Up Champion”. The game is Texas Holdem, currently the undisputed champion of poker games, and the buy in is ten grand, the same amount as the buy in to the Main Event of the World Series of Poker. - BLUFF - To make a bet or raise with a poor hand, in hope that the remaining active player(s) will fold.
- FLOP GAME - Any of a number of poker games where a flop is dealt.
- BET FOR VALUE - Betting a hand that, in the long run, is expected to win more than it loses. Antonym: BLUFF.
- JOKER - A 53rd card in the deck, distinct from the others, used as a wild card or as a BUG.
- FLAT LIMIT - A variant of fixed limit where all bets are the same amount.
- NICKEL - Five dollars, usually represented by a red casino check.
