Defense wins championships. You’ve probably heard that expression when referring to all types of sports, especially football. This is probably the first time, however, that you’ve ever heard it associated with playing on the World Poker Tour.
Today we have two different sets of questions used to diagnose a ‘gambling problem.’ I have tweaked the questions to apply to poker and have followed each set of questions with some comments of my own….
Beijing, Jan 18: A number of Chinese parents whose children went missing, are now pinning their hopes on tracing them through the deck of poker cards.
High school youth are invited to play poker and other card games at the Pratt Teen Center from 9 p.m. until midnight on Friday, Jan. 19. Middle schoolers may play from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday. A $3 donation is requested each evening.
ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey (PRESS RELEASE) — The poker action was hot inside Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa during the first day of competition at the 2nd annual Borgata Winter Poker Open taking place January 17-30, 2007. There were 1,370 poker players participating in Event #1, now the largest poker tournament in Atlantic City’s illustrious history.

The Catawba Indian Tribe wants to operate video poker on its Rock Hill reservation, and the S.C. Supreme Court is now hearing arguments why this case should be an exeption to the law that outlaws video poker. A 1993 settlement and related state law allows video poker exclusively on the reservation according to the tribe…
