London Poker Club Manager Convicted of Breaking Gambling Laws
Jan. 16 (Bloomberg) — The manager of a 23,000-member private poker club in London was convicted today of violating Britain’s gambling laws after a jury rejected his argument that the game is one of skill, not chance.

Poker slang:
- BELLY BUSTER - An inside straight draw. Same as GUTSHOT.
- BUTTON - A distinctive token held by the player sitting in the theoretical dealer's position, when a house dealer is used. The button rotates around the table so that every player has an opportunity to be the last to act. Also, "THE BUTTON" can refer to the player who currently has the button. ("I was the button and called the blind".) Synonyms: BUCK, PUCK.
- LIMIT POKER - A poker game wherein the amount to be bet is fixed, or at most variable within a prescribed minimum and maximum. Ant.: NO-LIMIT POKER.
- LITTLE SLICK - In Hold'em, hole cards of A-2, suited or not.
- STUCK - Down a nontrivial amount of money, as in "he's stuck $800".
- FLAT LIMIT - A variant of fixed limit where all bets are the same amount.
