Poker Documentary Wins Film Award
It is being called the “mother of all docs” and “a roller-coaster ride with an adrenaline high.” If that sounds like your cup of tea, and if you are a fan of poker, then you should be glad to know that US Poker Documentary No Limit is doing well, including winning the award for “Best Director (ensemble)” at the Australian International Film Festival. A candid look behind the scenes of the poker industry today, the film No Limit speaks to dozens of pro players, including Phil Gordon, Doyle Brunson, Annie Duke, Chris Moneymaker, and many, many more.

Poker slang:
- EXPECTATION - The long-run [dis-]advantage of a given situation, specifically without reference to any particular outcome. I.e., what you figure to win [lose] on average after a large number of repetitions of the same situation.
- DEAD MAN'S HAND - Generically: two pair, aces and eights. Specifically: the black aces, black eights and nine of diamonds. The hand Wild Bill Hickok was holding when he was shot to death.
- RAIL - A barrier dividing the card playing area from a public area.
- KICKER TROUBLE - Not having as high a kicker as an opponent.
- FLAT LIMIT - A variant of fixed limit where all bets are the same amount.
- OUT - [1] A card that will improve your hand, often substantially. A hand with many OUTS is preferable to a hand with only 1 or 2. [2] Folded, ineligible to bet or win this hand. "I'm out" is often a synonym for "I fold".
