Poker subsidiary drives revenue for Lakes
Lakes Entertainment Inc. reported a revenue increase of 180 percent for the third quarter to $5.9 million, from $2.1 million in the third quarter of 2005. The big difference is that during the third quarter this year, Lakes’ majority-owned subsidiary, WPT Enterprises Inc., delivered nine episodes of the World Poker Tour television series; last year none were delivered in the third quarter.
