Professional poker players don’t bluff as much as you think
The ability to bluff your opponents with a poker face might seem a little fanciful, but bluffing isn’t really the way professional poker players make a living. In fact, one of the biggest mistakes amateur players make, when playing against professionals, is thinking that the pros are pulling Jedi mind tricks on them when making bluffs.

- OPEN-HANDED - A category of games characterized by a part of each player's hand being exposed.
- RUNNER-RUNNER - A hand made using both of the last two cards dealt.
- CARDS SPEAK - Winner(s) of the hand are determined by turning their cards face up, the best hand(s) wins (no declaration).
- BUNNY - An eight. So named because one can easily draw "rabbit ears" above the numeral 8, "paws" in the middle and "feet" at the bottom. (Do this only at home, and not on cards that will be used for play.)
- SHORT-STACKED - Playing with a only a small amount of money, thus limiting one's risk and reward.
- MITES AND LICE - A hand consisting of two pair, threes over twos.
