Stenehjem: Internet poker backers should scrap licensing dreams
BISMARCK, N.D. - Supporters of state licensing of Internet poker sites should drop the idea, because a new federal antigambling law will stifle the industry, Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem says.

Poker jargon:
- TAPPED [OUT] - Out of money. Can refer to a player running out of money in the course of a hand, thus still active for the main pot; or can refer to a player who has lost his bankroll and can no longer play.
- TIGHT - [1] A style of play that entails playing fewer hands than average. Antonym: LOOSE. [2] A FULL HOUSE.
- PAY OFF - Calling a bet with little expectation of winning, unless the opponent is bluffing.
- STEAM - Playing wildly, calling and raising a lot, because one is upset. Compare: ON TILT.
- STRAIGHT - A hand consisting of 5 cards in sequence but not in suit.
- STAND OFF - To call a raise. "Opener raises, I stand off".
