It was a poker night with a difference. Renowned Australian cricketer Shane Warne teamed up with millionaire ecologist Zac Goldsmith to entice the rich and famous to pay £10,000 a head to play cards at an exclusive London members’ club.

Poker slang:
- SHORT-STACKED - Playing with a only a small amount of money, thus limiting one's risk and reward.
- LIMIT POKER - A poker game wherein the amount to be bet is fixed, or at most variable within a prescribed minimum and maximum. Ant.: NO-LIMIT POKER.
- COMMUNITY CARDS - Cards that are available for every player to use in making a hand. Usually dealt face up somewhere in the middle of the table.
- BIG BOBTAIL - An open-ended 4-card straight flush.
- WIRED [PAIR] - A pair in the hole. In 5-card stud, a door card that pairs the hole card.
- PAY OFF - Calling a bet with little expectation of winning, unless the opponent is bluffing.
