Former winner Phil Laak back for more in William Hill GPII
2005 William Hill Grand Prix winner Phil Laak will be back to defend his Gods Of Poker crown on Friday 20th October in Heat E of the William Hill GP II. The tenacious American, who last year defeated 55 of the Worlds best poker players to land the £150,000 ($285,000) first prize, heads a quality field of poker players the likes of which have rarely been televised in a European tournament.

Poker lingo:
- ASSAULT RIFLE - In Omaha, hole cards that are A-K-4-7 of any suit(s).
- DOOR [CARD] - A player's first upcard in stud games.
- IMPLIED ODDS - A refinement to POT ODDS which includes money not yet in the pot. Considers the potential extra bets and winnings made when a player forms a very good hand.
- BAD GAME - Any game in which you figure to be the loser, because the other players are better than you.
- KICKER - In hands containing pairs and trips, the highest card not matched. In draw games, sometimes a card kept for deception purposes.
- REBUY - [1] To purchase additional chips after an initial buy-in, usually after losing most or all of the previous buy-in. This term is most often used in certain tournaments where if one loses all one's chips, or falls below a certain minimum chip level, for an additional sum of money one can purchase a fixed amount of additional tournament chips. Usually there is a time limit (The "REBUY PERIOD") as to how long rebuys are allowed. [2] The additional chips "rebought" in tournament play.
