European Poker Tour Hits London
Starting in Barcelona, Spain, Season 3 of the European Poker Tour heads for London today. Settling in the famous Grosvenor Victoria Casino, this EPT event wraps up The Vic’s European Poker Championships festival. Only 400 seats are up for grabs in this £3,500 (€5,000) buy-in Main Event, but 80 spots have been reserved for players who are members of Team PokerStars, the major sponsor of the EPT.
Joseph Hachem, the WSOP Champion from 2005, French poker pro Isabelle Mercier, Luca Pagano, and Jeff Williams, the EPT Monte Carlo Season 2 Grand Final winner, will all be in attendance…

Poker terminology:
- WHEEL - A-2-3-4-5. Usually discussed in the context of lowball where it is the best possible hand. Can also refer to a 5-high straight in high games. Also: BICYCLE.
- AMERICAN AIRLINES - In Hold'em, a pair of Aces in the hole. Better known (at least in rec.gambling) as POCKET ROCKETS.
- FOUR OF A KIND - A hand containing all four cards of the same rank.
- HOOK - A Jack. So named because the "J" resembles a hook.
- BUTTON CHARGE - A periodic fee paid by whoever is the button, perhaps every 20 minutes or 30 minutes. Constitutes part or all of the HOUSE CUT.
- DEALER'S CHOICE - In home games, a rule that permits the dealer to name which poker game to be played that hand. Often limited to selecting from a list provided.
