Houston County Poker Run Raises Thousands
287 riders converged on Houston County Monday for a poker run to benefit the Georgia Sheriff’s Youth Homes. The successful poker runners raised over $7500 in much needed funding for the Youth Homes.

Useful poker terms:
- LOWBALL - Generic term for poker where the lowest hand wins.
- STRAIGHT FLUSH - A hand consisting of 5 cards in sequence and the same suit.
- TOKE - Gambling term for "tip", as in "Toke the cocktail waitress". Comes from the term "Token of appreciation".
- CRYING CALL - A call made with little chance of ultimately winning, but marginally better than an immediate fold.
- FOLD - To decline to call a bet, thus dropping out of a hand.
- FULL OF - Describes a full house. "Fives full of queens" is 5-5-5-Q-Q.
