Canadian online gambling software developer CryptoLogic Inc. has announced the completion of a major upgrade to its poker platform.The company’s new “Distributed Poker” system provides licensees seamless mobility to locate their shared online poker room in markets that offer the best growth opportunities, without any interruption to games or players.

Poker glossary:
- LAY ODDS - To give favorable odds to an opponent.
- FIRE - To make the first bet in a betting round. Used to emphasize that the player bet when a check was possible, showing strength.
- FREEROLL - [1] A poker tournament that does not charge a buy-in fee; players must earn buy-in credits through previous play at the same establishment. [2] Having a lock on part of a pot (sure to win a greater fraction of the pot than one is betting) and playing to win more or all of it.
- SMALL BLIND - In games with two blinds the first blind is the SMALL BLIND because it is usually one-half (or less) the second or large blind.
- TAPPED [OUT] - Out of money. Can refer to a player running out of money in the course of a hand, thus still active for the main pot; or can refer to a player who has lost his bankroll and can no longer play.
- SEVENTH STREET - The seventh card dealt in 7-card stud.
