The Borgata Poker Open, Atlantic City’s largest poker tournament, began today in grand style with a full house of more than 1,100 eager players. Creating an electric atmosphere, professionals and amateurs alike arrived today at Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa to vie for their piece of poker history.

- RUSH - A winning streak. Also "ON A RUSH".
- MITES AND LICE - A hand consisting of two pair, threes over twos.
- SHARK - A good/crafty player often posing as a fish early in the game.
