A high-speed collision between two jet boats on Lake Texoma killed five people and injured another Saturday afternoon. About 2:30 p.m., during a Poker Run on the lake, the two boats collided near the U.S. Highway 377 bridge and the Juniper Point area.

A Greenwood man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after he was convicted of murder for shooting another man during a poker game a year ago. A jury deliberated for more than six hours before finding 58-year-old Freddie Edwards guilty of murder Thursday night, prosecutor Jerry Peace said.
