TV producer Gold wins poker’s World Series
LAS VEGAS, Aug. 12 (UPI) — With the help of poker icon Johnny Chan, TV producer Jamie Gold has won the annual World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

- RAKE - Money taken from each pot and given to the house in return for hosting the game. Usually a percentage of the pot (5%-10%) up to some maximum amount.
- TRIPS - Three of a kind. In Hold'em the term SET is used when two of the three cards are hole cards.
- OVERCALL - To call a bet after one or more players already called.
- MANIAC - A player who bets, raises and reraises without regard to the quality of his hand. Most often found in flop games.
- STACKED [DECK] - A deck that has been arranged to give one player a huge advantage. Also: RIGGED.
- RAIL - A barrier dividing the card playing area from a public area.
