TV Producer Wins $12 Million in Poker World Series
Aug. 11 (Bloomberg) — Jamie Gold, a former Hollywood talent agent whose clients included James Gandolfini of “The Sopranos,'’ won the 37th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas to collect a prize of $12 million.

- HOYLE - Edmund Hoyle (1769-?) was the authoritative source for rules of card games. Hoyle is to card rules as Webster is to word definitions.
- SET - In Hold'em, three of a kind where two of the cards are hole cards.
- TAPPED [OUT] - Out of money. Can refer to a player running out of money in the course of a hand, thus still active for the main pot; or can refer to a player who has lost his bankroll and can no longer play.
- RING GAME - A standard game where players can come and go as they choose. The opposite of TOURNAMENT.
- BET FOR VALUE - Betting a hand that, in the long run, is expected to win more than it loses. Antonym: BLUFF.
- FLOORMAN - The casino representative in charge of the card room or a section of a card room. Arbitrates disputes when unusual events happen.
