According to information on TikGames Xbox.com page, the creators of the Texas Holdem game for the Xbox 360 Live Marketplace, it looks like poker fanatics will be able to breath a sigh of relief on August 23. The game, which is supposed to support standard, turn it, and scenario game modes, has been hotly anticipated as a free offering due to a sponsorship by online casino room River Belle Casino. Following its initial announcement the game seemed to disappear as no news was forthcoming about whether or not it was still to be free, thanks to the sponsorship, or if it would be released at all…

Online entertainment software company Giga Media Ltd. said on Tuesday that its second-quarter profit jumped by more than eight times leaning mostly on the strength of its poker software products. Giga Media’s quarterly earnings increased from $1.2 million, or two cents per share last year to $11.2 million, or $.22 per share this year…
