Nine players reach final table at World Series of Poker
The final table is set at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, and a Duke University graduate is among the nine player who have a seat. They have a day off today after playing into the wee hours this morning.

Poker lingo:
- RIVER - The last card dealt in a hand of stud or Hold'em.
- POSSIBLE [STRAIGHT/FLUSH] - Up cards that quite possibly could lead to a straight and/or a flush.
- UNDERDOG - Before all the cards are dealt, a hand that does not figure to be the winner. Ant: FAVORITE.
- TRIPS - Three of a kind. In Hold'em the term SET is used when two of the three cards are hole cards.
- DRAW - [1] A class of poker games characterized by players being dealt 5 cards face-down and later having the opportunity to replace some of the original 5. "Draw poker" and "Five-card draw" are examples of usage. [2] In stud and Hold'em games, the set of cards that will be dealt later can be collectively called "the draw". [3] To discard some number of cards and have dealt an equal number of replacements.
- ASSAULT RIFLE - In Omaha, hole cards that are A-K-4-7 of any suit(s).
