Lakes Entertainment Profitable on Poker
The parent company of WPT Enterprises, which is the company that owns the World Poker Tour, has shown a profit in the second quarter of this year, attributed to a 70% rise in sales. Lakes Entertainment, a Minnetonka-based casino manager and developer, reported that for the three months ending July 2 the company earned $3.2 million. - S&M - Sklansky & Malmuth. Generally refers to the ideas and algorithms published by these two authors. When used in a 7-card stud context, often refers to "7 Card Stud For Advanced Players", and when used in a Hold'em context, often refers to "Texas Hold'em For Advanced Players".
- WIRED [PAIR] - A pair in the hole. In 5-card stud, a door card that pairs the hole card.
- ON THE COME - A situation where the player does not have a complete hand but hopes to make one if the right cards come up.
- REPRESENT - Implying, by one's betting style, that one has a particular hand.
