LAS VEGAS In golf, its called making the cut. In poker, its called being in the money and at the World Series of Poker, it means the difference between a player winning back his $10,000 buy-in, or going home with nothing.

 

Yesterday was the first day that all remaining players in the 37th annual World Series of Poker Main Event played in the same flight and started off with a little over 1100 and ended up with around 600. Today 600 players will take their seats around noon in playing to their number is cut roughly in half.
