Chris “Jesus” Ferguson put his tournament on the line twice Tuesday, both times catching miracle cards at the World Series of Poker and turning a below-average stack into more than enough chips to remain a contender in the main event.

 

As I walk around the room on day 2A, table 134 is clearly the table to watch. Aaron ‘Gamble AB’ Bartley sits in the 1 seat, with over 50,000 in chips, Jeff Madsen resides in the 3 seat…

 

The chances that Chris ‘Jesus’ Ferguson will make a deep run in this year’s Main Event made a big jump when he doubled through during the second day’s play.

Even though the Main Event of the 37th annual World Series of Poker started on July 28th and has been running each day since then, August 1 is officially the second day of the event. Due to the more than 8000 players who signed up, each paying $10,000 to participate in this big show of poker, the first day of the event was split up over for physical days. Now those days have wrapped up, today is Day 2A, where the survivors from Day 1A and Day 1B will come together and battle it out until only a few hundred remain…
