License poker, says charity fundraiser
A New Brunswick fundraiser wants the province to license charity poker games after police warned a Fredericton-area group that it could face charges for using gambling to raise money.

Useful poker terms:
- MISDEAL - A hand dealt incorrectly that must be re-dealt.
- OUT - [1] A card that will improve your hand, often substantially. A hand with many OUTS is preferable to a hand with only 1 or 2. [2] Folded, ineligible to bet or win this hand. "I'm out" is often a synonym for "I fold".
- FLOORMAN - The casino representative in charge of the card room or a section of a card room. Arbitrates disputes when unusual events happen.
- COMMUNITY CARDS - Cards that are available for every player to use in making a hand. Usually dealt face up somewhere in the middle of the table.
- OPEN - Make the first bet in a hand, especially in draw poker.
- POT LIMIT - A game where the maximum bet is determined by the size of the pot at the time. Note that a player wanting to raise first calls the bet, then totals the pot to determine the maximum amount he can raise.
