Poker stars Hellmuth, Brunson bounced from World Series
Not long after sitting down Saturday, 10-time winners Phil Hellmuth and Doyle Brunson were gone from the World Series of Poker. “Horrendous, horrendous luck,” said Hellmuth, who lasted just six hours. Brunson said of his exit: “It never feels good to go out.”

Poker terminology:
- TOKE - Gambling term for "tip", as in "Toke the cocktail waitress". Comes from the term "Token of appreciation".
- TURN - The fourth community card in Hold'em.
- MITES AND LICE - A hand consisting of two pair, threes over twos.
- SUICIDE KING - King of Hearts. So named because in the drawing the king appears to be stabbing himself in the head.
- HIT - To make a hand or catch a card or cards that improves one's hand. "I hit a gut-shot draw on the river."
- WIRED [PAIR] - A pair in the hole. In 5-card stud, a door card that pairs the hole card.
