PROP - Also PROPOSITION PLAYER. An employee of the gaming establishment whose primary purpose is to keep enough players at a table to prevent breaking up the game for lack of players. TABLE STAKES - A standard rule whereby during a hand players can only bet the money they have on the table. QUALIFIER - A minimum standard that a hand must meet in order to win. Usually applied to the lowball side of a high-low split pot.
FLAT LIMIT - A variant of fixed limit where all bets are the same amount.
