Entering the final stretch of the World Series of Poker, many tournaments are not drawing the same kind of crowds that the earlier events boasted. Only 352 players entered the $3000 Omaha 8-or-better limit event

 

July 18 - Inspiration knows no bounds as demonstrated by 68-year-old grandmother, Joyce Ayers, who recently invented not one but two poker-styled board games.

 

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (PRESS RELEASE) — Invigorated by the recent federal legislation that would prohibit playing online poker in the United States, the Poker Players Alliance is hosting a rally/cocktail party in Las Vegas July 28 for poker players interested in defending the game of poker on the Internet.

 

Coming on the heels of Kylie Monizs successes at the national Special Olympics competition, Kaua i Special Olympics Kaua i Area Director Jocelyn Barriga announced the first annual Texas Holdem Poker Fundraiser.

 

As play at the WSOP began on Monday, there was an abundance of activity that was available for poker fans to check out. There were two final tables scheduled to take place, the $3000 Limit Hold ‘Em tournament at 2PM…

 

The Pot-Limit Omaha event at the World Series of Poker wraps up today, with the final players hunting each other and trying their best to not be the ones to make the most mistakes and thus ruin their chances for WSOP glory. The event will kick off in the afternoon with a final group of players, who will play in day two of this two day event until a final table is selected. At this point a break will commence as the ESPN camera crews set up shop, and then the show will continue…

 

It really did not come as a surprise that a pro won a recent online poker room sponsored event, even with other pros coaching the amateurs in the game. It was the MansionPoker.net World Pro-Am Challenge, and a handful of pros and a handful of amateurs sat down across the felt to battle it out for a half million dollar prize. To make things a bit more fair the amateurs were given pro poker players for coaches, whom they could consult over the battle.
