‘Stacked’ is poker mediocre
Often referred to as “America’s new national pastime,” poker has exploded over the past couple of years specifically Texas Hold ‘Em, a popular poker variant. Video-game publishers have jumped on the trend. The latest offering is “Stacked With Daniel Negreanu.”

Casino poker language:
- POT ODDS - The amount of money in the pot divided by the amount of money you must bet in order to call. Often used to determine if a pot offers enough reward to play on the come.
- FIRE - To make the first bet in a betting round. Used to emphasize that the player bet when a check was possible, showing strength.
- SIXTH STREET - The sixth card dealt in 7-card stud.
- MARKED CARDS - Cards that have been (illegally) altered so that their value can be read from the back.
- QUALIFIER - A minimum standard that a hand must meet in order to win. Usually applied to the lowball side of a high-low split pot.
- TOP TWO PAIR - In flop games, having hole cards that make the highest possible two pair hand.
