Letter: ‘Friends’ funded Bubblegum poker game
On behalf of the Bellingham Board of Library Trustees I would like to respond to a recent article in The Milford Daily News (”Library hits jackpot with poker playing kids,” June 27). We would like to correct an error that appeared in the story and express our support for the Bubblegum Poker program and the other young adult programs we are offering at the library this summer.

- LATE POSITION - For a particular betting round, a player who does not have to act until most of the other players have acted.
- OUT - [1] A card that will improve your hand, often substantially. A hand with many OUTS is preferable to a hand with only 1 or 2. [2] Folded, ineligible to bet or win this hand. "I'm out" is often a synonym for "I fold".

- DRAWING DEAD - A draw in which it is impossible to obtain a winning hand for any of a variety of reasons: an opponent's hand is better than whatever you are drawing to, the card(s) that make your hand are out of play, or (in Hold'em) give an opponent a stronger hand even if it makes yours. Frequently used in the past tense, since one rarely knows it at the time.
