Poker.com Delivers on WSOP Promise
(PRESS RELEASE) — The home of online poker, Poker.com has delivered on its promise to save players affected by CnR Poker’s inability to send its tournament winners to the World Series of Poker in July.

Poker argot:
- FAVORITE - Before all the cards are dealt, a hand that figures to be the winner. Ant: UNDERDOG.
- GUT SHOT - A draw to an inside straight, as in 2-3-4-6.
- OPENER - The player who opens the betting, especially in draw poker. A hand may have no openers, in which case it is PASSED OUT, i.e., new hands are dealt.
- DRAW - [1] A class of poker games characterized by players being dealt 5 cards face-down and later having the opportunity to replace some of the original 5. "Draw poker" and "Five-card draw" are examples of usage. [2] In stud and Hold'em games, the set of cards that will be dealt later can be collectively called "the draw". [3] To discard some number of cards and have dealt an equal number of replacements.
- STAKE - The amount of a player's BUY-IN, or the amount of money they are willing to play with in a given session. Compare: BANKROLL.
- POT - The total amount of money bet so far in a hand.
