Transcript of PokerPulse letter to the Canadian PM
In a letter send on behalf of PokerPulse, Mr. Murray asked Canada’s new Prime Minister for "a strong, renewed commitment by our envoys to show Canada’s support for Antigua". Poker argot:
- TRIP - Three of a specific kind, as in "Trip sixes".
- LITTLE SLICK - In Hold'em, hole cards of A-2, suited or not.
- BLANK - Used in describing stud and Hold'em games. Refers to a dealt card that does not offer any value; stating the actual rank and suit would detract from a description of the hand. "The last card was a blank.".
- STACKED [DECK] - A deck that has been arranged to give one player a huge advantage. Also: RIGGED.
- UNDERDOG - Before all the cards are dealt, a hand that does not figure to be the winner. Ant: FAVORITE.
- TAPPED [OUT] - Out of money. Can refer to a player running out of money in the course of a hand, thus still active for the main pot; or can refer to a player who has lost his bankroll and can no longer play.
