From the first time a clever motorcyclist thought of adding a poker theme to a charity run, poker has been a great outlet for raising funds for the needy. From Jeff Gordon and Chris Moneymaker’s recent tournament to Phil Gordon’s devotion to his ‘Put a Bad Beat on Cancer’ initiative, there are a lot of people benefiting from poker players’ deep hearts and pockets. A recent online poker room has been put together specificily focused on the intersection of poker and charity: BenefitPoker.org.
Parody is one of the most entertaining forms of comedy, so it was a welcomed surprise when I discovered it has entered the poker world in the form of Bill Fillmaff.
