Washington State Passes Anti-Online Poker Laws
In the first month of this year a legislation was proposed to the Washington State Senate to clarify and reaffirm the issue surrounding the prohibition against internet gambling. The legislation was put forth by Democratic State Senator Margarita Prentice and was called Senate Bill 6613. About five months later, that bill has now been passed into law moving the penalty for online wagering in the state up a few notches on the punishment ladder.
Now, rather than being charged with a misdemeanor, any such citizens charged will be slapped with a Class C Felony, carrying with it a potential of ten years in prison…

If the bet to a player is more than the player's stack, that player may call with all his chips and be eligible to win only that portion of the pot he contributed to equally. A side pot is created, for which only the remaining players may compete.
