Olympian Received Sponsorship From Online Poker Room
During the ad campaign for the 2012 London Olympic bid, young British gymnast Ben Brown garnered plenty of attention from the depiction of him jumping over a building. When the funding to sponsor Brown’s training ran out, it seemed that the young gymnast would not make the 2012 Olympics. He appeared on radio ads describing his plight, which caught the attention of online poker room King Solomon.
Now young Brown will have the money he needs to continue training, and the better he does, the more money King Solomon will foot - a bit of added incentive, if Olympic gold was not enough…

Casino poker language:
- CAP - To cap the betting is to make the last permitted raise in a round.
- OVER - A term used in describing two pair or a full house. "Kings over tens" means two pair, kings and tens. "Jacks over", also "Jacks up" describes a hand that is two pair: Jacks with an unspecified lower pair. Also used to describe a full house, distinguishing the three of a kind from the pair. The hand J-J-J-A-A could be described as "Full house, Jacks over Aces".
- S&M - Sklansky & Malmuth. Generally refers to the ideas and algorithms published by these two authors. When used in a 7-card stud context, often refers to "7 Card Stud For Advanced Players", and when used in a Hold'em context, often refers to "Texas Hold'em For Advanced Players".
- CRYING CALL - A call made with little chance of ultimately winning, but marginally better than an immediate fold.
- OPEN-HANDED - A category of games characterized by a part of each player's hand being exposed.
- OVERPAIR - In Hold'em, a pair in the hole that is larger than any community card on the board.
