A single card made a difference of almost $700,000 to Alex Jacob ‘06, when he went all in with a king and a jack in the final hand of the World Poker Tour tournament at Foxwoods Casino on Sunday night.

Last year members of the Naturist Society of Estonia held a nude poker tournament with 104 poker players, and Paddy Power Poker thinks they can do better. According to the British tabloid The Daily Mirror, Manchester United’s star striker Wayne Rooney lost a £25,000 Chrysler to defender Phil Bardsley in a poker game. Apparently Rooney, Bardsley and a couple of other players from Manchester United held regular home poker sessions. The Mirror quoted a source as saying: "They play a couple of times a week. On this occasion Rooney lost the keys of his Chrysler to Bardsley."
