New 007 Deals Producers a Wild Card with No Poker Know-How
Production on Casino Royale, the next installment in the James Bond dynasty, encountered something of an obstacle when, while filming a crucial poker scene, producers discovered that 007 himself could tell a royal flush from a full house. After learning of Daniel Craig’s lack of poker prowess, the film’s producers sent for some expert help. John Duthie, a UK poker player who has made almost $3 million at the felt, was summoned to the set in Berlin to give Craig some expert poker pointers.
