Online Poker Site Offers Star Power
Yet another celebrity and poker cocktail has been created to please fans of both industries, this time in an online format called CelebrityPokerPlayer.net. The new site will be offering freerolls, a term meaning poker tournament that cost nothing to play, along with the chance for poker players to chat it up with a few celebrities while they play.
According to a press release from the company, the site puts the “hottest names in entertainment and sports” in touch with the common online poker players, with daily tournaments featuring the celebrities. Live tournaments based in brick and mortar casinos will follow up, with stars in tow, for those winners of the daily events…

Useful poker terms:
- TAP - In no-limit games, to wager all of one's money in one bet.
- RIDER BACK (TM) - A brand of playing cards that feature a bicycle rider on the back of the cards. Often used in home games. Compare: BEE No. 92.
- BET FOR VALUE - Betting a hand that, in the long run, is expected to win more than it loses. Antonym: BLUFF.
- ROLLED UP - In seven-card stud, being dealt three of a kind in the first three cards.
- TOKE - Gambling term for "tip", as in "Toke the cocktail waitress". Comes from the term "Token of appreciation".
- RAGS - Board cards that are small, not suited and not in sequence, e.g., 9-5-2. When "rags flop", it is unlikely that anyone has a good hand, except possibly the big blind in an unraised pot.
