Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Comes to Blackberry
A fanatic is someone who is passionately devoted to a particular thing, and there are few groups of people as fanatically devoted to their thing as Blackberry users. These portable hand held devices sport a ton of features, most notably the ability to send and receive email from just about anywhere, and they now have an excuse to be introduced to a new group of fanatics: poker fans.
The Blackberry 8700 Series Cellphone has been treated to a new Texas Hold’em mobile poker game called “Gold Mobile - Texas Holdem” which has been developed by MGN Technologies. The game will allow Blackberry poker players to dive into a ten handed game of Texas Hold’em from anywhere, while still being able to check and send email - perhaps to their buddy to share a bad beat story….

Casino poker language:
- SUICIDE KING - King of Hearts. So named because in the drawing the king appears to be stabbing himself in the head.
- LATE POSITION - For a particular betting round, a player who does not have to act until most of the other players have acted.
- POT LIMIT - A game where the maximum bet is determined by the size of the pot at the time. Note that a player wanting to raise first calls the bet, then totals the pot to determine the maximum amount he can raise.
- LIMIT POKER - A poker game wherein the amount to be bet is fixed, or at most variable within a prescribed minimum and maximum. Ant.: NO-LIMIT POKER.
- CALLER - One who calls. Sometimes used collectively, as in "3 callers".
- SEAT POSITION - The actual seat a player has, normally numbered sequentially starting with 1 as the first seat to dealer's left. Not to be confused with POSITION in a particular pot. Typically unrelated to play of a hand but often important in peripheral aspects, e.g.: "Seats 1 and 10 are nonsmoking here", "Seat 5 has a good view of the table", "Seat 3 is in a high-traffic area".
