300 Million Poker Hands Dealt
How many poker hands does an online poker site need to deal before they are considered a bit of a big deal themselves? Whatever number you come up with, it is hard to argue with 300 million, a milestone recently passed by online poker website Absolute Poker. They are ranked number four on the “big boy” list of online poker sites, and with that many poker hands being dealt it is easy to see why. In order to celebrate this landmark event, Absolute Poker is allowing customers to customize the site, selecting table patterns from the palate of about 100 choices, a good idea if a player is going to stick around for another million or two.
There are plenty of choices, ranging from favorite school colors to mucking around with the carpet, the felt, etc…

Useful poker terms:
- DEAD MONEY - Money contributed to the pot by players who have folded.
- DECLARE - In high/low games, declaring one's hand as high or low or both ways (usually done with chips in hand). Usually played in home games; casinos tend to play CARDS SPEAK.
- WALK - A pot won by the last blind when no one opens.
- PASSED OUT. - A hand in which nobody opens. What happens next is a function of the game being played.
- HOLE CARDS - In Stud and Hold'em, the face-down cards dealt to each player.
- MIDDLE POSITION - Betting positions approximately halfway around the table from the first player to act.
