Second Annual London Poker Open Coming September 2006
The World Poker Exchange, headquartered in Antigua, have recently confirmed that there will be a second London Poker Open this year, hoping to repeat the fun and success of the first such event, where Iwan “the Welsh Wizard” Jones become the first London Poker Open champion by winning the event at Old Billingsgate. Last year pros descended on the heart of London to compete for the honor, including Willie Tann, Karina Jett and Chip Jett.
The World Poker Exchange will be partnering with Autumn Light Media, L.L.C. in order to produce the second annual event, held this year at the Whitehall Palace, London…

Poker lexicon:
- DRAW OUT - To catch a card that improves your situation from a losing hand to a winning hand, especially when you beat someone holding a hand that usually figures to win.
- JOKER - A 53rd card in the deck, distinct from the others, used as a wild card or as a BUG.
- CALLER - One who calls. Sometimes used collectively, as in "3 callers".
- PAT - Holding or being dealt a pat hand. "I'm pat" would mean "I don't want to draw any cards.
- LIVE BLIND - The last and largest blind bet may or may not be LIVE. If LIVE, the blind bettor has the option of "raising" his own blind in the event the bet is called around to him. This is normal, and is sometimes referred to as "blinds are live".
- KICKER TROUBLE - Not having as high a kicker as an opponent.
