World Series of Poker Ladies Champion Jeniffer Tilly Skips Academy Awards for Poker

Former Oscar nominee Jeniffer Tilly abandoned Hollywood for Las Vegas last night when, for the first time in 15 years, she didn’t make an appearance at the Academy Awards or post-Oscar events. Instead, Tilly could be found at Caesars Palace at NBC’s Heads-Up Poker Championship. Her absence at the Oscars marks the completion of a transformation for Tilly, from acting to poker. The actress, who was nominated for an Academy Award in 1994 for her supporting role in "Bullets Over Broadway," also won the 2005 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Ladies Event, giving her instantly making her a poker star.
