Stars of Hollywood and Poker Come Out for L.A. Poker Classic
This year’s L.A. Poker Classic at Commerce Casino brought out some of the best and brightest stars of the silver screen and the green felt. Almost 700 players turned out for the $10,000 buy-in No-Limit Texas Hold ‘em event at the world’s largest poker room, just outside Los Angeles, California. In addition to the typical crop of poker pros, a slew of Hollywood celebrities, like Shannon Elizabeth, Gabe "Mr. Kotter" Kaplan, Los Angeles Lakers owner Dr. Jerry Buss, Jennifer Tilly, and James Woods, took part in the poker festivities.

- BAD GAME - Any game in which you figure to be the loser, because the other players are better than you.
- FLAT CALL - To call a bet. Emphasizes that the caller did not raise.
- FLUSH - A poker hand consisting of five cards all one suit.
- SEVENTH STREET - The seventh card dealt in 7-card stud.
- KICKER TROUBLE - Not having as high a kicker as an opponent.
