The World Poker Tour’s (WPT) recently-launched online poker venture could eventually supersede the WPT-brand television shows as the number one source of revenue for WPT Enterprises. This, according to company officials, is likely to happen in the coming years based on growth figures cited from a study of worldwide online poker income potential. While it is unlikely that WPTOnline poker revenues will exceed those of the WPT television programming in 2006, company CEO Steve Lipscomb didn’t rule out the possibility that it could happen quite soon.
