CEO Poker has announced plans to host the event at The Palms Hotel in Las Vegas, October 22-26, 2006. Participants will have the opportunity to win the title of Chairman of Poker and a stylish Chairman of Poker ring that will be awarded to the winner of the championship tournament. With poker TV and online poker rooms so popular, it is a natural choice for charitable organizations seeking to raise some funds to do some good works. While many may argue the legal and moral issues that revolve around holding poker events in their communities, there is no arguing about how effective such events as No Limit Texas HoldÂ’em tournaments are when it comes to bringing home the bacon for area charities.
Empire Online filed suit against PartyGaming late last year in Gibraltar, following Party’s decision to separate it’s poker platform from that of it’s skins. Empire Online has now released a statement saying it is in "advanced discussions" with PartyGaming to settle the dispute.
