When you watch poker on TV, you hear the term “pot odds” thrown around all the time.What in the world does it really mean? Poker dictionary:
- CHECK RAISE - To check initially, then raise a bet made later on in the same betting round. Frequently a sign of strength, but may be a bluff.
- LOWBALL - Generic term for poker where the lowest hand wins.
- SPLIT [THE POT] - To split the pot between two or more players. Related term: QUARTER.
- RUNNER-RUNNER - A hand made using both of the last two cards dealt.
- TURN - The fourth community card in Hold'em.
- SUITED - Two or more cards all the same suit. Ant: OFF-SUIT.
