The wife of Kris Benson, pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles, has been beefing up her poker game. She recently signed a multiyear deal with Golden Spirit Poker and will be polishing her game as a poker player to further her goals. She has commented that she loves to give money away to charities and help people, and she is hoping that her growing poker skills and her relationship with Golden Spirit Poker will help her do so.

Poker jargon:
- FAVORITE - Before all the cards are dealt, a hand that figures to be the winner. Ant: UNDERDOG.
- DRAW OUT - To catch a card that improves your situation from a losing hand to a winning hand, especially when you beat someone holding a hand that usually figures to win.
- POT ODDS - The amount of money in the pot divided by the amount of money you must bet in order to call. Often used to determine if a pot offers enough reward to play on the come.
- DEALER'S CHOICE - In home games, a rule that permits the dealer to name which poker game to be played that hand. Often limited to selecting from a list provided.
- SUICIDE KING - King of Hearts. So named because in the drawing the king appears to be stabbing himself in the head.
- CHECK RAISE - To check initially, then raise a bet made later on in the same betting round. Frequently a sign of strength, but may be a bluff.
