Adams falls short of goal, finishes sixth at World Series Poker tourney
Gulf Breeze’s Brandon Adams didn’t quite reach his goal Friday of winning the $10,000 buy-in World Series Poker Circuit event at Grand Casino in Tunica, Miss. On Friday, Adams was eliminated in sixth place, taking home $114, 475.

Poker dictionary:
- FOURTH STREET - In stud poker, the fourth card dealt to each player. Sometimes used to refer to the fourth community card dealt in Hold'em, although the more common term for this is TURN (q.v.).
- ANTE - A small bet all players are required to make before a hand is dealt. Not all games have an ante. Related terms: BLIND, FORCED BET.
- CAP - To cap the betting is to make the last permitted raise in a round.
- LITTLE SLICK - In Hold'em, hole cards of A-2, suited or not.
- SIXTH STREET - The sixth card dealt in 7-card stud.
- TOP PAIR - In flop games, having a hole card that matches the highest card on the board.
